The Hobbit/The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is about uniting the Dwarfs with the Arcenstone and about slaying the dragon Smaug. In this story the wizard Gandalf says that the hobbit Bilbo Baggins is to be the burglar to rob the Arcenstone from Smaug. Bilbo is afraid of what Gandalf asks him to do (more tells him to do). Bilbo becomes the hero of this journey, but chooses to accept the quest. Bilbo and the characters in The Hobbit are a lot like us. We also must follow our own journey and accept challenges that frighten us.
In this story Bilbo escsaped a never ending forest, defeated spiders, escaped orcs, and elves, and of course, outwitted a fire breathing dragon to accomplish the quest of stealing the Arcestone.Obviously human beings don't have to do all of these things in our own llives, but we do have to overcome our own challenges to accomplish our goals. Gandalf is Bilbo's mentor in this story. He gives Bilbo challenges that he is afraid to face and pushes him to succeed at his quest. In our own lives we have mentors that help and push us like teachers and others. Lastly, in this story there is a dark presence called Sauron. In our own lives we must face and battle the darkness.
It's easy to connect to the movie The Hobbit because we are a lot like Bilbo. In our own lives we must face challenges, find help from mentors, and overcome darkness around us to accomplish our goals. the darkness we face depends on the person but we all go through it

Search for safety Chapter 1
Ben, (not me) or Ben Mckee, the child and narrator of this story appears to feel that “the big hurt” or larry, some how step father of ben mckee, is a horrible, abusive person, but at this point in time, is just trying to hold together his emotions. it is also noted that his mother, Ben’s Mckee’s Mother, is a moron,I FELT that the mother had no way that he could possibly be dumb enough to date this man. but I know there are people like this. Love is blind, but not an idiot, as stupid as I feel love is.well aunt fay is obviously not exactly okay with him, but shes oblivious. not as oblivious as genevas, she appears to love him, even though he has been completely awful to aunt fay and geneva, not even reacting in the slightest. that he is a monster, a creature with a intent to do only wrong. a infinite hate for one man. Ben mckee hates this man.to say the least, A: his drunken rage, stupidity, cruilty. people do bad things and have a choice in the things they do, a bad person is not a person at all B: no, the way hem in the antagonist fashion “I Brought Justice” was wrong. the view of right from wrong is flawed, class A antagonist Syndrome.

The short story, The Stolen Party. the story's about the daughter of a maid, who's been invited to the birthday party of her employers daughter. the mother does not think she should go to the party, because she will always be seen as the maids daughter. the daughter wants to go more than anything. something in the story that made me think, when the girls mother called Rosaura her pet. it made her appear to feel less then human.
When the mother says "thank you for all your help my pet" Rosaura realizes her mother was right, and was just there as the maids daughter. Rosauras emotion change there entirely. in this moment Rosaura's emotions change child-like glee to pain filled and dead inside. the only true, yet completely false moment of power for her, was when she was handing out the cake, "Rosaura remembered a story in which there was a queen who had the power of life and death over her subjects. to Luciana and the boys she gave the largest pieces and to the girl with the bow she gave a slice so thin one could see through it"
Teenagers can relate to this because they often want to be parts of groups and never quite fit in because they miss a voice, possibly. there are different that we can find our own moments of power.
If there was any lesson to be learned, is that people are horrible, inconsiderate, selfish, self centered. to put to point, People are awful. there may be people who are the complete opposite of this, but sadly there is a very little amount of people, who are the complete opposite.

NUMBER ONE 2013 BOOK OF 2013
Homestuck
Homestuck is a book written by andrew hussie, and by far my favorite book of the year. it has brought me feels, feels, and more feels, it has brought me joy and happyness, it has shown me what it means to be awesome, it had alien fish hipsters to alien rainbow drinker lesbians...not twilight...homestuck is one of the greatest, crazyist things ever, its a game, its a story, its a play, it is everything at once and a whole bunch more. the tale of 4 children playing a game that ends the world, and must forge a universe out a frog. homestuck is its own being that can be defined by so little yet so much. it is the greatest thing I have read.

I have read many books, played, and seen many movies. but I Notice something about all of them, how each have the same thing each time
The setting effects the character
it might aswell be one of, if not the, most important things in story...the setting..where everything takes place, how this effects our anti/protagonist, from a city under the sea,...a fortress in the sky, a alternit dimenison, a playground, your school, a funeral, a place where the world begins and ends.......long story..but it can take place anywhere at any time...but...it can also effect the character, and the characters inside it..it can make them sad...happy, a good person to a horrible person, a villain turning in to a hero, so many things come up from the setting of the story, how it can make a already tense moment as much tenser, a game where you must kill to survive, a place where there is infinate nothing ness..the bottom of the ocean to the skys...anywhere...is important to the story..

so I'm going to write about the reading inquary I did recently of how characters react depending on setting and events in said setting, What I did was I explained how setting can do many things, Change characters emotions in bigger or smaller ways, change the ideas and phycologi of the characters and all sorts. examples of this are the story of artoiras, a knight who died for someone he never cared for because of how he relized the world was, a grey wizard dieing changing the outlook and feelings of certain hobbits. many things change or don't change, how I did this the first time was with out story but in sort of ideas that I thought of in the past, I will use storys now to explain this.
Now I have made a few blog posts recently that have been crap..so I made a decision that I am not going to change NO MATTER WHAT, so what I am going to do is...JUST DO BLOG POSTS ON STORYS, video gaming, movies, books, though most likely not books because nothing good has come out in a really long time and also not to mention I'm not really interested in alot of things at this time...
